Abattoir worker wanted in Carroll County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Carroll County, Iowa. You will be based at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. What we are looking for: • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler Your main tasks: • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
