Great opportunity: we are hiring a steel fixer in Merced County, California. The job is at a rebar fabrication workshop. You should have: • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire Day-to-day duties: • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
