Vacancy available: we are hiring an overhead (EOT) crane operator in Alleghany County, Virginia. You will work on a bridge and infrastructure project. Requirements: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Current medical and eyesight certificate Day-to-day duties: • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
