We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welder in Colleton County, South Carolina. You will work at a precision engineering workshop. On the job you will handle: • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run Requirements: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Rotating shifts.
