Lathe operator — Lumpkin County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a lathe operator in Lumpkin County, Georgia. Day to day you will load raw material and feed stock into the machine hopper; follow lockout-tagout before cleaning or clearing the machine; top up coolant, lubricant and hydraulic oil levels; run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing; segregate finished parts into bins and label the batches; report breakdowns to the maintenance fitter. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable using vernier, micrometer and gauges • Basic record-keeping and part-counting skills Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
