Great opportunity: we are hiring a bodyshop painter in Clayton County, Iowa. You will be based at a dealership paint shop. On the job you will handle: • Sand and feather-edge damaged panels before painting • Apply primer, base coat and clear coat with an HVLP spray gun • Check the colour match under booth lights against the maker's swatch • Wipe down panels with degreaser and a tack cloth before spraying • Apply body filler and block-sand to a smooth contour • Set the spray gun air pressure and fan pattern for an even finish You should have: • Skilled with HVLP and gravity-feed spray guns • Able to mix paint by weight on a scale • 2+ years' experience in automotive refinishing 5+ years on the tools preferred.
