Shuttering and concrete hand — Broome County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a shuttering and concrete hand in Broome County, New York. The job is on a high-rise slab pour. You should have: • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods On the job you will handle: • Give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified • Screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength Part-time with flexible hours. Pay around $21 per hour, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
