Stainless steel welder — Fremont County

Now hiring: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Fremont County, Colorado. You will work at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Day to day you will inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec. You should have: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
