Now hiring: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Chugach Census Area, Alaska. The job is on a commercial tower construction site. On the job you will handle: • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules You should have: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations Full-time with occasional weekends.
