Abattoir worker — Trousdale County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Trousdale County, Tennessee. You will be based at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. You should have: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day The role involves: • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case Six days a week, one day off.
