Urgent requirement: pastry baker (New York)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a pastry baker in Orange County, New York. The job is at a busy bakery. What we are looking for: • Basic cake decorating and piping skills • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving • 2+ years' experience as a baker The role involves keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards; prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity; pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls; grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds; roll out short-crust and biscuit dough; laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter. Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. Pay around $160 per day, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
