Join our team: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Shenandoah County, Virginia. The job is in a food and dairy equipment factory. Ideal candidate: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) On the job you will handle: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints $5,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
