Fire and safety officer • Chouteau County, Montana

Now hiring: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Chouteau County, Montana. You should have: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot Day-to-day duties: • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
