Prep cook — City of Covington

Great opportunity: we are hiring a prep cook in City of Covington, Virginia. Day to day you will plate and garnish dishes for a quick pass to service; prepare stocks, sauces and soups from scratch; marinate meats and prepare curries, gravies and bases; follow cleaning schedules and wash down work surfaces; taste and adjust seasoning for consistency. Ideal candidate: • Able to lift heavy stock pots and sacks of supplies • Familiar with North Indian, tandoor and continental cooking • 2+ years' experience as a cook in a busy kitchen Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
