Long-haul driver — City of Franklin

Join our team: we are hiring a long-haul driver in City of Franklin, Virginia. You will work at a busy distribution depot. The role involves keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load; log working hours on the tachograph and swap driver cards; report defects and book the unit in for servicing; couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock; present documents at weighbridges and check posts; secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars. What we are looking for: • Clean driving record with no recent endorsements • Physically fit for long hours behind the wheel Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $250 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
