GMAW welder wanted in Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area

Vacancy available: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area, Alaska. You will work at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. You should have: • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • ITI in welder trade or equivalent On the job you will handle: • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose Full-time, day shift.
