Fabricator-welder — Mora County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Mora County, New Mexico. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. Requirements: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height The role involves carry out 6G pipe welds where required; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion. $230 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
