Immediate opening: tracked excavator operator (England)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a tracked excavator operator in West Berkshire, England. The job is at a drainage and utilities contractor. The role involves inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up; grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient; dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels; backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers; track the machine on and off low-loaders for transport; work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control • Reliable, punctual and able to get to site Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. £2,550 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
