You should have: • Confident using a gas torch to bond bituminous membrane • Comfortable working at height and off scaffolding On a typical shift you will fit mineral wool and glass wool batts between studs, joists and rafters; work to drawings, hitting the specified U-values and insulation thickness; prep, clean and prime substrates before membrane application; measure and cut insulation boards neatly around pipes, ducts and openings; torch-on bituminous waterproofing membrane to flat roofs, basements and foundations; wrap HVAC ducts with foil-faced insulation and fasten with banding.
