Great opportunity: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Trimble County, Kentucky. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. You should have: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Day-to-day duties: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
