Urgent requirement: safety officer (California)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a safety officer in Shasta County, California. The job is in a chemical processing unit. On a typical shift you will carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
