Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welder in East Riding of Yorkshire, England. What we are looking for: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height On a typical shift you will set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
