Join our team: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Dawson County, Nebraska. Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances Your main tasks: • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
