We are recruiting: we are hiring a machinist in McPherson County, Kansas. The job is on an export house sewing floor. Your main tasks: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality Requirements: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
