Great opportunity: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa. On the job you will handle: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes Ideal candidate: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Basic grinding and fettling skills Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $5,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
