Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Saint Mary's County, Maryland. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Ideal candidate: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety The role involves: • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through We offer $23 per hour plus benefits.
