Join our team: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Griggs County, North Dakota. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Day-to-day duties: • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work 5+ years on the tools preferred.
