Immediate opening: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Josephine County, Oregon. You will work in a steel fabrication yard. Day-to-day duties: • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists You should have: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Meals and transport allowance provided.
