Now hiring: we are hiring a crane rigger in McLean County, Kentucky. Day to day you will select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; read lift plans and method statements before starting; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Rotating shifts.
