Horticulturist wanted in San Juan County

Join our team: we are hiring a horticulturist in San Juan County, Washington. You will be based at a plant nursery. Day-to-day duties: • Plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings • Check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads • Cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs • Sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades • Lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
