Concrete placer • Augusta County, Virginia

Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete placer in Augusta County, Virginia. You will be based on a high-rise slab pour. On a typical shift you will set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins; cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing; mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer; patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage Six days a week, one day off. $4,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
