Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Polk County, Minnesota. The role involves take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date. Ideal candidate: • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
