MIG welder wanted in Erie County

Now hiring: we are hiring a MIG welder in Erie County, New York. You will work in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Day to day you will tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose. Requirements: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off.
