Your main tasks: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
