Aluminium tig welder — Boone County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Boone County, Indiana. The role involves: • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal What we are looking for: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Full-time, day shift.
