Great opportunity: we are hiring a tig welder in Navajo County, Arizona. The job is on an industrial construction site. Requirements: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Day-to-day duties: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $5,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
