Tig welder wanted in Sanilac County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a tig welder in Sanilac County, Michigan. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Requirements: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Own basic hand tools and PPE Your main tasks: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator Six days a week, one day off.
