Pipe tig welder wanted in Tioga County

Now hiring: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Tioga County, Pennsylvania. You will be based in a food and dairy equipment factory. You should have: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium You will back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); carry out 6G pipe welds where required; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding. 6+ years on the tools preferred.
