Argon welder wanted in San Juan County

Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in San Juan County, Washington. You will work in a food and dairy equipment factory. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through The role involves: • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) Performance bonus on top of base pay.
