Great opportunity: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Wayne County, New York. You will work in a heavy machinery workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use You should have: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces 5+ years on the tools preferred.
