Pipe tig welder wanted in Northumberland County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Northumberland County, Virginia. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through On the job you will handle: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
