Structural MIG welder • Lamoille County, Vermont

Vacancy available: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Lamoille County, Vermont. The job is at an automobile body shop. Day-to-day duties: • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration You should have: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Pay around $5,400 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
