Urgent requirement: we are hiring a CO2 welder in Suwannee County, Florida. You will work in a heavy engineering unit. On the job you will handle: • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints What we are looking for: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium Six days a week, one day off.
