Natural gas fitter — Mille Lacs County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a natural gas fitter in Mille Lacs County, Minnesota. You will work at a busy gas installation company. You will purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate; thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant; locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections; install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation; lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points. You should have: • Able to read isometric and site drawings • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
