Immediate opening: we are hiring a civil works labourer in Tipton County, Tennessee. The job is on a building construction site. The role involves backfill and ram down soil around the foundations; set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction; load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate; bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns; pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator; wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean. Ideal candidate: • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio Part-time with flexible hours.
