We are recruiting: we are hiring a precision welder in Westmoreland County, Virginia. Day-to-day duties: • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Full-time with occasional weekends.
