Steel fixer — Oneida County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel fixer in Oneida County, New York. On the job you will handle: • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers Requirements: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
