MIG/MAG welder • Johnson County, Kentucky

We are recruiting: we are hiring a MIG/MAG welder in Johnson County, Kentucky. Ideal candidate: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium Your main tasks: • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch 3+ years on the tools preferred.
