Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in King and Queen County, Virginia. The job is on a structural steel site. Your main tasks: • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec You should have: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. $4,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
