Formwork carpenter • Island County, Washington

Great opportunity: we are hiring a formwork carpenter in Island County, Washington. You will work on a metro and tunnel project. The role involves erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb; set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking; watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement; apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting; fix stop ends and kickers at the construction joints; read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters. What we are looking for: • Skilled with circular saw, hand tools and spirit level • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Able to read formwork and structural drawings At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
